Community Employment Scheme

Community Employment (CE)

TVG provides up to 10 CE placements to members of the Traveller community. CE workers are an excellent addition to the team as they are strategically placed within each section of the project so that they can support the day to day running of the overall project. TVG supports CE workers to take up training opportunities in their personal interest areas. These include Childcare, Administration, Reception, Care Taking, Community Development Work and House Keeping.

CE placements can have duration of 3 years per participant and can be very beneficial to the participant as well as the project. CE Schemes support participants to prepare and build the skill sets required for the workplace.

Tus

From time to time TVG works in conjunction with the Cork City Partnership to provide employment opportunities and placements for those accessing the Tus programme locally. We hope to expand on these opportunities into the future.
